Joplin sinks Vaqueros with two quick goals

Joplin scored two goals in a three-minute span on the way to a 2-1 victory over the Fort Worth Vaqueros on Saturday night.

The Demize scored in the 15th and the 18th minutes.

“Again two soft goals early hurt us,” Vaqueros coach Mark Snell said. “I feel like we dominated possession and once again fought hard to come back.”

The Vaqueros have fallen behind 2-0 in the past three South Central Conference matches in the National Premier Soccer League.

hey were able to recover for a 2-2 draw against the Liverpool Warriors. But they have managed only second-half goals in back-to-back losses to Oklahoma City and Joplin.

Hilton Ngwa scored the Vaqueros’ only goal Saturday with a penalty kick in the 70th minute.
