iJeers: To the person behind us at the corner of Granbury Road and South Hulen Street who honked at my wife for refusing to turn in front of a train less than 50 feet from the crossing. The crossarms were not working and they thought she could beat the train. This is not a video game!

— Bobby and Marilyn Darr,

Fort Worth

hCheers: To Dr. Thurston and all. Thank you for everything you did for Amanda while she was in the intensive care unit at Parkland Hospital in November. You made her last days on earth comfortable and allowed family and friends to say their good-byes. We appreciate everyone and know she was in the best of hands.

— Lois Doyle, Colleyville

iJeers: To fracking-earthquake theorists. Increased movement on both coasts (D.C. and California) has placed tremendous pressure on tectonic plates in between with increased quakes throughout America even where there is no fracking. The most convenient answer is not always the correct answer. Occam’s razor doesn’t always apply.

— Charles Andrews, Fort Worth
