At least one person was killed Friday evening in a multi-vehicle crash that also sent three people to hospitals, officials said.

The early investigation indicates one motorist was driving the wrong way at Trinity Boulevard near Rodolphus Street, said Cpl Tracey Knight, a Fort Worth police spokeswoman.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene. Two people were taken to area hospitals in critical condition, and one was transported in serious condition, said Matt Zavadsky, a spokesman for MedStar.

One vehicle was on fire and people were trapped inside when police arrived, WFAA reported.

The intersection is along the southwest border of the Texas Star Golf Course near the Fort Worth-Euless border.
