The Grand Opening Night Dinner for the 2014 Fort Worth Opera Festival took place April 19 on the mezzanine of Bass Hall. FWO patrons, opera stars and celebrities — including fashion designer Austin Scarlett and Forte singers Josh Page and Fernando Varela — dined on a “surf and turf” meal and sipped signature Purple Pearl cocktails. After dinner, guests walked the red carpet and posed with belly dancers and 8-foot elephant puppets in the lobby before a performance of Bizet’s The Pearl Fishers.
