Baylor Bears freshman wide receiver Robbie Rhodes was arrested early Friday morning on drug charges.

Rhodes was charged with tampering with physical evidence and possession of marijuana. He was booked into McLennan County Jail and released in the afternoon on bond, according to WacoTrib.com.

Rhodes, a blue-chip recruit from Fort Worth Southwest, caught 10 passes for 157 yards last season. At Southwest in 2011, he tied a national single-game record with eight touchdown receptions.

Briefly

• TCU women’s golf: Sanna Nuutinen was named to the All-Big 12 team. Nuutinen has seven top-20 finishes, including a pair of top-10 results, this season. Nuutinen will compete in the NCAA Central Regional Thursday through May 10 in Stillwater, Okla.

•  Duke basketball: Sean Obi, a 6-foot-9 post player from Rice, is transferring to the Blue Devils. Obi, 265 pounds, averaged 11.4 points and a Conference USA-leading 9.3 rebounds as a freshman at Rice. He will have three years of eligibility remaining.
