Spurs at Mavericks

7 p.m. Friday, American Airlines Center, Dallas

TV: KTXA/21, ESPN

Radio: ESPN/103.3 FM, KFLC/1270 AM (Spanish)

Series: Spurs lead 3-2

About the Spurs: They are one win from advancing to the Western Conference semifinals. And if they lose Friday they’ll have another shot to advance. Game 7, if necessary, will be played Sunday in San Antonio. ... Fueled by their ability to shred the Mavs’ defense with a bevy of pick-n-roll plays, the Spurs captured Game 5 on Wednesday 109-103. San Antonio outscored the Mavs in the paint 54-28 in the victory. ... Tony Parker scored 23 points and had five assists despite playing with a sprained left ankle. Manu Ginobili collected 19 points and five assists while Tiago Splitter contributed 17 points, 12 rebounds and five assists. Tim Duncan had 16 points and 12 rebounds to record his 151st playoff double-double, second-best all-time to Magic Johnson’s 157. Kawhi Leonard added 15 points and eight rebounds. ... During the regular season, the Spurs finished with the NBA’s best road record (30-11). They also won Game 4 in Dallas, 93-89, on Monday. The Spurs were 2-0 in Dallas during the regular season.

About the Mavs: This will be their final home game of the season if they don’t find a way to defeat the Spurs on Friday. .... The Mavs must stop some of the easy layups the Spurs continue to make game after game. Dallas has managed to make Spurs center Tiago Splitter look like he’s headed to the Hall of Fame. ... DeJuan Blair will be back Friday after missing Game 5 because he was suspended without pay by the NBA for kicking Splitter in the head in Game 4. Blair, who played his first four seasons with the Spurs, could be the X-factor. ... Dirk Nowitzki is coming off his best game of the playoffs — a 26-point, 15-rebound showing in Game 5. It was his first 20-point game of this series. Nowitzki converted 10-of-20 baskets and scored 14 points in the fourth quarter. ... Vince Carter would like a repeat of Game 5 when he poured in a season-high 28 points. Carter nailed 10-of-16 shots, including 7-of-9 from 3-point range. ... Guard Devin Harris made a blistering 15 of 25 shots in the first two games but since has made just 6-of-23, that includes a 3-for-11 effort on Wednesday.
