Keller church alerts members about whooping cough using social media

Fellowship of the Parks Church in Keller used Facebook, text messages and e-mails to alert the congregation about a fifth-grader who may have been exposed to a highly contagious disease who attended two church services on April 13 and April 20.

Tarrant County Public Health says Pertussis — which is more commonly known as “whooping cough” — is on the rise. As of March 14, Tarrant County has reported 64 pertussis cases; seven of the cases are infants and three of them were hospitalized. Full report at wfaa.com
