I believe the leadership, problem-solving, and decision making skills that I have developed over the past 16 years have prepared me to serve as an elected official. Outline the three most critical problems facing the public office you are seeking and the solutions you propose to address them. The most critical issues facing the City of Mansfield are economic growth, residential development, and maintaining a family-friendly community. I think the transformation of Mansfield from a small farming community to a thriving suburb has positively impacted the city, but it’s important to ensure the growth doesn’t outpace the city’s infrastructure and school system. The council also has to continue to make the city an attractive place to live for people in search of a family-centered community. I tend to address these areas by working with the community members, business leaders, school officials, and fellow board members to devise an effective plan to ensure Mansfield continues to maintain its status of being one of the best places to live.Mansfield ISD Danny Baas Office sought: Board of Trustees, Place 6 Age: 42 Occupation and/or main source of income: Police officer City: Fort Worth Campaign phone number: N/A Campaign contact person other than yourself: Cassie Baas Campaign email address: N/A Website: Facebook Education background, including all degrees: TCLEOSE License, Advanced Peace Officer, Advanced Accident Investigator, Hostage Negotiator Highlights of your current and past civic involvement: Serving on the MISD Board for the last 3 years, Participating in football, band and cheerleading booster clubs throughout my kids growing up in the MISD. I think we should learn how to live within our means. I am a young leader looking to be a fresh voice for the people. Outline the three most critical problems facing the public office you are seeking and the solutions you propose to address them.First, our children safety is not what it should be. Our schools are gun free zones! We need to allow the staff who already have a CHL and license, or want to get theirs to carry while working to protect themselves and the children. All mass shootings are in gun free zones where nobody can defend themselves. Second, stop spending and raising taxes. Finally, teach more family values.
