Julien Brun of TCU shot a 66 for the second consecutive day and won the individual title at the Big 12 Championship with a 277 on Sunday in Trinity.

Brun finished nine strokes ahead of Sam Daley of Iowa State.

That tied for the third-largest margin of victory in conference history.

The 277 was only one stroke behind the Big 12 record of 276 set by Morgan Hoffman of Oklahoma State in 2009.

The 66 tied the conference record for the lowest fourth-round score.

“I had a good start today and it helped me build momentum,” Brun said. “This is a really stressful golf course. I couldn’t relax until the end.”

TCU shot a 283 on the final day and finished fifth with a 1,170. Texas won with a 1,158.

Baylor won the men’s and women’s division at the Big 12 Tennis Championships at TCU.

The Bears won the men’s title with a 4-3 victory over Oklahoma. They won the women’s division with a 4-1 victory over Oklahoma State.
