Ducks at Stars

7 p.m. Wednesday, American Airlines Center, Dallas

TV: FSSW   Radio: KTCK/1310 AM and 96.7 FM

Series: Ducks lead best-of-seven series 2-1

About the Ducks: Defenseman Stephane Robidas, traded last month from Dallas to Anaheim, broke his right leg early in the second period Monday. It was his first time back on the ice in Dallas since Nov. 29, his last home game for the Stars, when he broke the same leg sliding into the board. “It’s a huge loss because he was playing great,” Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau said. Stars coach Lindy Ruff was in agreement. “It’s a heartbreaker, really,” Ruff said. “First-class guy. I know how hard he worked to even come back and play.” Ducks defenseman Mark Fistric, who played with Robidas while both were with the Stars, admitted it was a heartbreaking scene. “I’ve been a teammate of Robi’s for a lot of years,” Fistric said. “I looked up to him as a mentor and he means the world to me. He showed me and taught me a lot.” Robidas will miss the rest of the playoffs. ... Anaheim was 0-for-5 on the power play Monday after going 0-for-3 in Game 2. ... Center Ryan Getzlaf had a goal and an assist in each of the first two games but that stopped when the Ducks were shut out 3-0 Monday.

About the Stars: Goalie Kari Lehtonen was 0-4 in Stanley Cup Playoff starts before recording his first victory on Monday, notching 37 saves in a shutout. It was the Stars’ first playoff shutout since Marty Turco turned the trick 4-0 against Anaheim on April 10, 2008. ... Forward Jamie Benn has a point in each of the three games. ... Forward Colton Sceviour has three playoff points after scoring 12 in 26 regular-season games. ... Defenseman Brenden Dillon missed his third straight playoff game with a lower body injury. Dillon did participate in an optional skate Tuesday in Frisco. ... The Texas Stars finished their AHL regular season 48-18-10 (106 points) and earned the Macgregor Kilpatrick Trophy as regular season points champions. They begin the Calder Cup Playoffs on Wednesday against the Oklahoma City Barons. — From online reports
