ARLINGTON — The Rangers completed a trade with the Mariners to acquire right-hander Hector Noesi in exchange for cash considerations or a player to be named later on Saturday.Noesi will join the Rangers bullpen as a long reliever and the team is hopeful a change of scenery is what the 27-year-old needed. Noesi made the Mariners’ Opening Day roster and allowed three runs over two appearances before being designated for assignment on April 4. He has a career 5.64 ERA over four seasons with the New York Yankees (2011) and the Mariners (2012-14).“Durable, good arm, big-time strike thrower,” general manager Jon Daniels said. “He threw the ball well this spring. We’ll see how it plays out.”To clear a spot on the 40-man roster, the Rangers transferred Jurickson Profar to the 60-day disabled list. They’ll have to make another move whenever Noesi joins the active roster.Briefly• Matt Harrison is scheduled to make another medical rehabilitation start for Double A Frisco at Little Rock on Sunday. He will be on a five-inning, 80-pitch limit and could be ready to return to the big leagues by April 23.• As of now, Daniels expects Profar (torn teres major muscle in right shoulder) and catcher Geovany Soto (surgery on meniscus in right knee) to be ready at some point in June.• MercyMe, a Christian rock band, will play a postgame concert Sunday. Field passes for the concert will be available for $12.
