An Arlington woman was shot multiple times as she pulled into her driveway early Sunday, and her estranged husband was arrested a few hours later in Kansas after he called 911 to surrender.The Tarrant County medical examiners office identified the victim as Latoya Alexander, 35, who was pronounced dead at 1:13 a.m. in her driveway in the 300 block of Juniper Drive in Arlington.Shortly after 7 a.m. Sunday, Devanne Jones, 36, of Arlington, Alexanders estranged husband, called 911 from a gas station near South Haven, Kan.He wanted to surrender, Sumner County sheriffs Sgt. Rodger Church said in Wellington, Kan. He was taken into custody without incident.Jones is accused of killing his estranged wife.Arlington police were dispatched to a shooting call about 1 a.m. Sunday. Alexander had been shot to death in her vehicle. Residents told police they heard several gunshots.Early information led detectives to look at the womans estranged husband, Arlington police spokeswoman Tiara Richard said Sunday in a news release. She didnt provide details about the information.Hours later, detectives learned that Jones had surrendered to Kansas authorities. He was in the Sumner County Jail in Wellington, on Interstate 35 about 340 miles north of Arlington and about 20 miles north of the Oklahoma state line.
