Jurickson Profar was scratched from today’s lineup because of an additional procedure he had done days after his wisdom teeth were removed.

Profar went in for an exam Thursday morning and had a minor procedure done to remove a bone. He then went through the team’s workout, but was given the afternoon off. He is expected to be ready to play Friday.

Profar, the Rangers’ expected Opening Day second baseman, has played in two games at second base this spring. He was limited to the designated hitter role early on because of right shoulder tendinitis and then missed four games when his wisdom teeth were removed.

Profar is batting .250 with two home runs and 11 RBIs in 13 Cactus League games.
