Add The Fresh Market to the ever-growing list of options for foodies in Northeast Tarrant County.The specialty store, which features natural and organic products, will open in Southlake’s latest hot spot, the Park Village development on East Southlake Boulevard and South Carroll Avenue.The location is across the street from Central Market, the always crowded H-E-B upscale grocery and not far from Trader Joe’s, which will be just blocks away when it opens later this year.A few miles to the west on Farm Road 1709 is Sprouts and Whole Foods is scheduled to open this year in Colleyville. Did we mention there’s an Eatzi’s in Grapevine?At the Feb. 27 ceremonial groundbreaking of the developer The Woodmont Co. spoke of the North Carolina-based grocer’s arrival.Peter Jacobsen, vice president of The Woodmont Co., which is developing Park Village, said The Fresh Market will be one of development’s first tenants when it opens in November. The retail center’s grand opening is scheduled for March 2015, Jacobsen said. The Fresh Market is looking to make inroads in North Texas. The only Texas locations are in Houston, and a store is also planned for Turtle Creek in Dallas. According to its website, the company prides itself on fresh, quality products.Other tenants in Park Village include sporting goods store REI, Orvis, which previously had a store in Colleyville, Gloria’s Latin cuisine, RA Sushi, The Lash Lounge and Michael’s.
