Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre is day to day with a strained left quadriceps. He left Thursday’s game early with tightness and did not play in Friday’s game. Assistant general manager Thad Levine said the club is being cautious, indicating that Beltre would prefer to play.

“Hitting is not a problem. It’s running,” said Beltre, who was planning on trying to run Saturday.

Here’s a look at the rest of the Rangers’ injury issues:

C Geovany Soto (foot): No issues after playing Friday.

OF Alex Rios (strained right intercostal): No issues after playing Friday.

2B Jurickson Profar (oral surgery): Returned Saturday, doing soft toss, tee work, throwing program resumed. His return to games is still to be determined.

RHP Matt Harrison (lower back stiffness): Pitching two innings in Monday’s game.

RHP Daniel Bard (thoracic outlet syndrome): Hopes to throw off a mound next week.
