About the Mavericks: This is the first of three consecutive road games. After Tuesday night, they play Wednesday in Utah and then return home — but play no games — before hitting the road again to play at Oklahoma City on Sunday. ... Fresh off huge home wins against two of the NBA’s best teams, beating Portland 103-98 and Indiana 105-94, the Mavs have regained their stride after stumbling to three straight losses. In Sunday’s victory over the Pacers, the Mavs lost a 17-point lead but still won the game against an elite squad on a night when Dirk Nowitzki shot just 3 of 14 from the field. ... The Mavs are 1-1 against the Warriors this season, winning 103-99 in Dallas on Nov. 27. However, the Warriors beat the Mavs in Oakland 95-93 on Dec. 11 in a game Dallas led by 18 (52-34) with 2:18 left in the second quarter.

About the Warriors: They have won four straight games and hold a two-game lead over the Mavs for the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference. The four wins were at Indiana (98-96) and Boston (108-88), and at home against Atlanta (111-97) and Phoenix (113-107). ... The Warriors are led by Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and David Lee, and like to push the ball up the floor. Curry averages 23.5 points and 8.7 assists, Thompson averages 17.8 points, and Lee averages 18.7 points and 9.6 rebounds. Center Andrew Bogut averages 10.1 rebounds and nearly two blocks per game. ... Lee had 26 points and nine rebounds in Sunday’s win over the Suns, and Thompson added 22 points. ... The Warriors are 10th in the NBA in points per game (103.5), eighth in points allowed (98.7) and third in rebounding (45.5). ... Golden State is 20-10 at home and 22-16 against Western Conference foes.
