McDonald’s All American Myles Turner, a 6-foot-11 center from Euless Trinity, was to visit Kansas on Wednesday and visit Duke on Saturday after taking unofficial visits to SMU and Texas A&M in the past week.

On Saturday, Aggies fans greeted Myles with chants of “We want Myles!” during a timeout of their game against Ole Miss, prompting Turner to do a curtain call in front of the student section.

“It was an experience like no other,” Turner said. “Your heart is racing and you can’t help but be overjoyed and laugh a little as the crowd is embracing you.”

SMU and A&M had not previously been on Turner’s list of schools.

Turner, the nation’s most sought-after unsigned recruit, was set to visit Kansas for its Senior Night game against Texas Tech, followed by a flight to Durham to watch Duke square off against rival North Carolina.

“I’m very excited to go see Duke,” Turner said. “Their history, their tradition, Coach K. His record speaks for itself. These visits are very important. Hopefully late April, early May, that’s when I’m going to sign.”

Turner will save his last official visit for the University of Texas before traveling to Chicago for the McDonald’s All American game April 2 at the United Center.

“To be able to play in the same building as Michael Jordan is an honor,” Turner said. “To be called a McDonald’s All American is something I’ve been working for since I was a freshman.”
