Without a shadow of a doubt, this TCU basketball team is now Kyan Anderson’s to lead as the Horned Frogs head to Texas on Wednesday in search of their first Big 12 victory.Amric Fields is out for the year with a knee injury that has plagued him since last season. Ten TCU players have missed a game this season, including six who are out for the year. Only Anderson, Jarvis Ray, Brandon Parrish and Christian Gore have played in every game. TCU is one of four Division I schools that has had five or more players miss a game.It has certainly been a grind for the team to put effort into practice and games with a different form of adversity coming what seems like every week, TCU coach Trent Johnson said, but Anderson has been the spark.Anderson, a junior guard from North Crowley, leads all TCU scorers, averaging 16.6 points per game, and scored 21.4 per game in February. Jonathan Holmes (13.2 points per game) and Isaiah Taylor (12.7) set the pace for the Longhorns, who have lost just two of 17 home games this season.
