Struggles continue for Mansfield hockey team

The Mansfield varsity hockey team lost to Highland Park 12-1 on Thursday night at the DPA Stars Arena, as it was out-shot 41-10 in the game.

Adam Schreck scored the varsity squad's only goal in the game, coming through on a power-play goal with an assist from James Sullivan in the 13th minute of the third period.

Mansfield wraps up the season with a 1-17-1 mark.

Lake Ridge opens up district with victory

The Lake Ridge softball team opened up district with a bang last Tuesday, defeating Arlington Seguin by a score of 6-3 at Lake Ridge High School.

JaiAnna Ivy picked up the win for the Lady Eagles, and Ivy and Cameron O'Brien Both doubled in the game for Lake Ridge.

Lake Ridge played Legacy on Tuesday after the press deadline and will take travel to Red Oak at 7 p.m. on Friday.

Legacy defeats Chisholm Trail in tournament play

The Legacy baseball team defeated Saginaw Chisholm Trail on Saturday by a score of 9-3 as part of the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD Tournament.

Kade Stroud earned the victory for Legacy, while Marcus Perez and Seth Jaggers both doubled in the game for the Broncos.

Legacy is scheduled to play its final two games of the tournament this coming Friday and Saturday at noon.

Legacy softball team defeats Summit in district opener

The Legacy softball team nipped Summit by a score of 3-2 last Wednesday to open up district competition with a victory.

Kendall Potts got the victory for the Lady Broncos and also doubled twice in the game for Legacy.

Ryan Wright tripled in the game for the Lady Broncos.

Legacy played Lake Ridge on Tuesday after the press deadline and will host Lancaster at 7 p.m. on Friday.

Timberview beats Midlothian in district opener

The Timberview softball team defeated Midlothian by a score of 13-4 on Thursday to move to 1-0 in district competition.

Mariah Denson earned the victory for the Lady Wolves as Timberview moved to 10-1 on the season.

Mansfield played Duncanville on Tuesday after the press deadline and will travel to Grand Prairie at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
