After suffering what head coach Scott Cross called the most “humiliating” loss of the year, UT Arlington plays its final home game of the season against Western Kentucky at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at College Park Center.

On Thursday, the Mavericks watched a five-point halftime lead against Sun Belt-leading Georgia State turn into a 28-point loss. If they’re up to the task of putting that behind them, they’ll have to prove it against the second best team in the Sun Belt.

In their first meeting with Western Kentucky in Bowling Green, Ky., the Mavericks let a late lead slip away and lost 77-72. That’s been the calling card for this year’s UTA team. They’ll play a great half and follow it with a dud.

“We haven’t been able to play a complete game all year,” senior Brandon Edwards said.

The Hilltoppers are riding high after coming back from 12 points down to beat Texas State on Thursday. Led by T.J. Price and his 15.5 points per game, they’ve won nine of their last 11.
