Six of the Stars’ next seven games are at home.

Goalie Cam Ward is back in the lineup after being sidelined since Dec. 31 with a lower-body injury. He allowed three goals on 18 shots. ... Carolina will be playing the second game of a five-game road trip in Dallas. ... Hurricanes defenseman Joni Pitkanen (left heel surgery) is out for the season.
