Divine Designs USA, a Euless-based business, is getting a piece of the Oscar action.

Himanshu and Preetibala Sharma and Priyanka, their 13-year-old daughter, will be at the Montage Beverly Hills hotel Saturday to hand out specially designed gift bags from their business.

Honoring the nominees for the 86th Academy Awards, Secret Room Events will host the Red Carpet Style Lounge at the Montage, an extravagant gift experience showcasing goodies ranging from diamond jewelry to trips to Italy and Barbados.

“I found Divine Designs by looking online. I thought it would be something different. I liked it,” said Secret Room Events owner Amy Boatwright, who extended the invitation. “It fits in perfectly with the celebrities and their lifestyle in L.A.”

The Sharmas, who live in Colleyville, will get the chance to meet celebrities and others who will stop by to check out products.

“We don’t know if we will see A-list, B-list, C-list or D-list celebrities,” said Preetibala Sharma, who is attending a swag bag event for the first time. “No matter what, the experience is priceless.”

Sharma was excited to learn that Wolfgang Puck will co-host the event with Amenity Services, providing a food and beverage lounge. The event will benefit the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles.

Sharma said she was asked to provide 250 gift bags that will showcase her business.

She created specially designed fabric totes featuring one of their signature prints. The bags contain kimono bathrobes, brocade cosmetic bags and napkins, and matching napkin rings.

She estimated the retail value at $225.

“I never thought we would be participating in the Oscars, even in a small way,” Sharma said. “The idea is to get our brand out there. We hope celebrities will like our products.”

She said she has been looking forward to the trip.

“Sometimes it feels like a dream, but it’s so real right now,” Sharma said. “It’s going to be extraordinary.”
