Texas roared back from a seven-point halftime deficit to defeat TCU 62-50 Tuesday night in a Big 12 women’s basketball game.

The Longhorns (18-10, 9-7 Big 12) were paced by Imani McGee-Stafford, who scored 12 points and had a season-high 17 rebounds. Nneka Enemkpali led Texas in scoring with 15 points.

TCU (15-13, 6-10) was hoping for its first-ever season sweep of Texas and looked well on its way with a 33-26 halftime lead. The Frogs were led by Natalie Ventress with 14 points, Chelsea Prince with 12 and Zahna Medley with 10. Latricia Lovings had 10 rebounds.

Ventress and Medley combined to score TCU’s first 17 points of the game, but the Longhorns, second in the nation in field-goal percentage allowed, managed to contain the duo the rest of the way.

Trailing 37-30 early in the second half, Texas went on a 16-2 run to seize control of the game while limiting the Horned Frogs to just 13.3 percent shooting over the half’s first 10 minutes. TCU went more than 7 minutes without scoring a point in that span.

TCU next faces Oklahoma at 7 p.m. Saturday in its final home game of the season and its last before Daniel-Meyer Coliseum’s renovation.
