Anthony Davis, fresh off playing in his first All-Star Game, averages 20.5 points per game and is 10th in the NBA with 10.2 rebounds per game. He also leads the league in blocks (3.04 bpg). ... Al-Farouq Aminu would be an All-Star if he played every game against the Mavs. He had three double-digit rebound games against the Mavs last season, and had 16 points and 20 rebounds, and 15 points and 11 boards in two games this season.

About the Mavs: This is the opener of a two-game homestand that includes a game Friday against Chicago. ... The Mavs are coming off an impressive 3-0 road trip where they defeated Philadelphia, Detroit and New York. ... Dirk Nowitzki’s 19-footer at the buzzer beat the Knicks 110-108 on Monday. Nowitzki, who has 13 game-winning shots during the regular season in his career, was 24-of-44 from the field with 64 points on the road trip. .... Although he came off the bench, Vince Carter was the Mavs’ second-leading scorer on the trip with 48 points on 14-of-24 shooting.
