The 15th annual Mansfield Cares Charity Ball flashed back to the 70s with the disco band Le Freak. Approximately 350 party-goers dressed for the decade with peace signs, headbands, afros and bell-bottom pants at Walnut Creek Country Club on Saturday night.

“It was a great party that will benefit a lot of people,” said ball co-chairperson Lisa Stewart.

The ball raises funds to benefit several local charities, ranging from college scholarships to food pantries. Mansfield Cares also built The Nix Family Caring Place medical clinic and the new Mansfield Women’s Club Caring Center food bank with funds raised from the annual ball.
