Jurickson Profar is swinging the bat with no pain in his right shoulder, and Neftali Feliz is pitching with no tightness in his right shoulder.

Profar had been shut down from swinging the bat, but resumed a couple days ago. He said it has gone well and is expected to begin a throwing program early next week.

Feliz, meanwhile, felt better about his shoulder during a five-minute live batting practice Friday and is scheduled to throw again today.

Feliz is also working on a mechanical adjustment to try and avoid tipping his changeup. He is going to keep his glove more at belt-level rather than lifting it chest-high as he looks in for a sign.

Feliz said he would open his glove a little bit last year, which signaled to batters a changeup was coming.

Briefly

• The Rangers signed right-hander Scott Richmond to a minor-league contract. He went 6-7 with a 5.91 ERA at Triple A Round Rock last season.

• Yu Darvish and Nate Adcock are scheduled to start Monday’s intrasquad game. Colby Lewis and Jose Contreras are in line to start Tuesday’s intrasquad game. Darvish is also expected to start the Cactus League opener on Thursday against Kansas City.

• Prince Fielder took a personal day and did not report to camp on Saturday.

• MLB Network will air three Rangers spring training games – March 6 vs. the Padres; March 7 vs. the Dodgers; and March 19 vs. the Brewers.
