Brandon Finnegan turned in another scoreless outing, and Dylan Fitzgerald and Boomer White each had three RBIs to lead No. 19 TCU to a 10-0 win over BYU in the Horned Frogs’ Kleberg Bank Classic opener.

Finnegan (2-0) again went seven innings allowing no runs, as he did last week in the Horned Frogs’ season opener. He gave up six hits and had nine strikeouts and no walks against the Cougars (1-6).

TCU (4-1) jumped ahead in the top of the first with three runs on only two hits off BYU starter Kolton Mahoney (0-2). Derek Odell had an infield single with two outs to score Cody Jones and move White to third. Fitzgerald followed with a two-run triple.

The Frogs put the game out of reach in the sixth when White had a bases-clearing double off BYU reliever Rhett Nelson with one out. TCU batted around and added another score in the four-run inning for a 9-0 lead.

TCU next faces tournament host Texas A&M Corpus-Christi at 6 p.m. Saturday.
