Poor Olympic coverage

The female who interviewed Bode Miller after he won a medal was totally crass and in his face.

Perhaps one question from her and one comment from him regarding the recent death of his brother would have been enough. But this reporter ( I would not call that reporting unless she works for the National Enquirer) dogged and dogged him about his thoughts and feelings about his dead brother instead of talking up the fact he just won a medal at age 36. She pushed him to the point he broke down and cried, on global TV no less, while the camera person kept the camera rolling.

There wasn’t a human story in any of that. NBC was totally out of bounds. Her job was to report sports, interview contestants, etc. about their performance, not about their personal lives.

I felt like such a voyeur watching this great athlete brought down to tears.

It was despicable.

NBC is the face of Don Henley’s lyrics to Dirty Laundry: “kick ’em when they’re up, kick ’em when they’re down, kick ’em all around.”
