A suspect in a hit-and-run Saturday morning that injured a 73-year-old man was arrested Wednesday night at DFW Airport, Arlington police said via Twitter.An arrest warrant was issued earlier Wednesday for Omar Mohammad, 25, of Arlington, police said.Mohammad is suspected of being the driver who hit Terry Pinkston from behind as he walked on a sidewalk in the 2400 block of Ascension Boulevard.Mohammad was arrested about 9:30 p.m. at DFW Airport “trying to jump on a plane and leave the country,” the tweet said.Pinkston was hit as he walked about 7:30 a.m., police had reported. A passer-by helped Pinkston and called 911, police said.Officers reported that Pinkston’s head was bleeding and that his leg had a puncture wound, according to the affidavit.He was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth and was found to have broken ribs and vertebrae. He was released from the hospital Wednesday afternoon. Police found the suspect car, a 2004 dark blue Honda Civic, thanks to tips from the public.
