About the Heat: This is Game 5 of a six-game road trip for Miami, which started with a 116-112 win at the LA Clippers on Feb. 5 and ends Thursday in Oklahoma City. ... Miami is 3-1 on this trip, which includes a 94-89 loss in Utah and a 103-97 victory in Phoenix. The Heat also won at Golden State 111-110 when LeBron James made a 3-pointer with less than 1 second remaining. ... The two-time defending NBA champions have won five of their last seven games. ... They are 17-10 on the road, 15-4 against the West and in first place in the Southeast Division. ... James, the MVP in four of the past five seasons, is averaging 26.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 1.46 steals per game. ... Dwyane Wade (18.7 ppg) and Chris Bosh (16.6 ppg, 6.8 rpg) give James ample support and all three played in Sunday’s All-Star Game.

About the Mavs: Dallas entered the All-Star break off an improbable 81-73 win in Indiana, the sixth victory in their past seven games. ... The Mavs next hit the road to head East for the last time this season. The Mavs play at Philadelphia on Friday, at Detroit on Saturday, and at the New York Knicks on Monday. ... Tuesday’s game will be the 500th consecutive sellout for the Mavs, the longest active sellout streak among the top four major pro sports. ... The Mavs and Heat have combined to win the past three NBA titles. Dallas beat Miami in six games in the 2011 NBA Finals. Since the Heat acquired James and Bosh in 2010, they are 11-1 in playoff series. The lone loss was to the Mavs in the ’11 Finals. ....
