The Mavs are 17-1 all-time against the Bobcats, the lone loss coming last season 101-97 in Charlotte, the only time the Bobcats reached 100 points in the series. ... In 16 games against the Bobcats, Dirk Nowitzki is averaging 26.1 points, his second-highest scoring average against any franchise. ... Monta Ellis shook off a mild strained right hamstring to get 11 points and five rebounds in 28 minutes Sunday against the Celtics.

About the Bobcats: If the playoffs started today, the team owned by Michael Jordan would qualify as the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference. ...
