District 3-5A sends Arlington teams as the top three seeds into the playoffs, with the Bowie girls leading the way after sealing up a perfect district record at 14-0 to claim the championship.

Martin enters as the second seed and Lamar as the third.

• Bowie was scheduled to face Keller Fossil Ridge in the bi-district round at 7 p.m. Monday (after the press deadline) at Wiley G. Thomas Coliseum in Haltom City. Fossil Ridge is the fourth seed from 4-5A and would need an upset to top the Lady Vols, who have only lost two games in 2013-14.

• Also on Monday, Martin took on the 4-5A No. 3 seed, Richland, which has compiled an 18-10 overall record compared the Lady Warriors’ 20-7 season. The game was scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Nolan Catholic in Fort Worth.

• Lamar (18-8) was set a tougher challenge on Monday, scheduled to face Keller (21-7) at 7 p.m. at L.D. Bell in Hurst. Results can be found at

Besides the big season finale clash between Bowie and Martin on Tuesday to determine the District 3-5A champion, Lamar had one more chance to fight for playoff positioning in its Tuesday finale against Fort Worth Paschal, which would enter the playoffs as the third seed barring a defeat at the hands of the Vikings.

Complicating the situation for Lamar is North Crowley, which entered its finale with a beatable opponent in Arlington and could force its way into a tie for fourth place with Lamar, should the Vikings lose to Paschal.

The games were played after the press deadline; see for results and playoff pairings.
