About the Stars: This will be the Stars’ final game before the Olympic break, which runs through Feb. 27. … The Stars are coming off a 2-1 loss in overtime Wednesday against the San Jose Sharks in the second game of a back-to-back. … The Stars have picked up points in seven of the past eight games and are tied with Phoenix, one point behind Vancouver in the race for the second of two wild-card playoff spots in the Western Conference.

About the Coyotes: Phoenix lost at home to the Stars 3-1 Tuesday and have not played since. ...
