Offense: North Texas added three-star recruit Tee Goree of Carthage to fortify a receiving corps that lost two key pieces. The Mean Green also signed receiver Fonzale Davis of Dallas South Oak Cliff. Another three-star recruit arrives in running back Willy Ivery, an all-purpose athlete who gained more than 4,600 yards at Class 4A Sulphur Springs.

Defense: The Mean Green signed two defensive linemen to bolster a unit decimated by graduation. This class includes end Tillman Johnson of Round Rock McNeil and tackle T.J. Tauaalo of Keller Central.

Immediate impact: Certainly the most intriguing prospect in this class is former Dallas Skyline linebacker Anthony Wallace, a transfer from Oregon who was rated as a four-star recruit in his initial class of 2011. He’ll have plenty of opportunities with the Mean Green, whose linebacker corps was hit hard by graduation.
