Police are investigating the death of the director of a Fort Worth child-care facility who was found in her home Friday.

Larissa Easley, 45, was pronounced dead at a hospital emergency room at 6:34 a.m. Friday, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner. She is the owner/director of Hilltop Montessori School, 4201 Trail Lake Drive, the Texas Department of Health and Family services website says.

Police were called to her home in the 6000 block of Forest Lane at 5:52 a.m. Friday, but investigators declined to release information about how Easley died, Fort Worth police spokeswoman Sharron Neal said.

The Tarrant County medical examiner listed the manner and cause of death as pending.

Hilltop Montessori was open Monday, but a woman who answered the phone said she couldn’t talk about Easley’s death.

Easley’s former husband, Lawrence Kelly, 41, used to oversee the day-care facility, but he died Aug. 13, 2010. The Tarrant County medical examiner ruled his death a suicide.
