Police seek men who robbed Fort Worth taqueria

Police are asking for help identifying two men who robbed a Fort Worth taqueria Friday, then fled after an employee shot at them.

According to police, two men entered Taqueria Don Meno, 3701 Mansfield Highway, around 7:30 p.m. and demanded money. Police said the robbers were able to steal only a small amount of money before an employee shot at them and they fled toward the neighborhood north of the restaurant.

No one is believed to have been injured.

One of the suspects is described as Hispanic, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall and skinny. He wore a gray hoodie and had a black handgun.

The second suspect, also Hispanic, is described as about 5 feet 5 inches tall and wearing a dark jacket with a darker horizontal stripe and a blue beanie or “pompom” hat, with a ball on top. He carried a dark bag or backpack, police said.

Anyone with information about the robbers’ identities is asked to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 817-469-TIPS (8477) or use the website www.469tips.com or call robbery Detective A. Smith at 817-392-4365. Crime Stoppers tipsters remain anonymous and can receive up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest or a criminal case being cleared.
