Their current streak came on the heels of losing five in a row. ... In the teams’ first meeting this season, goalie Jonathan Bernier faced a season-high 50 shots as Toronto managed a 3-2 shootout win. ... Veteran right win Phil Kessel scored twice Tuesday against the Colorado Avalanche, extending his goal-scoring streak to four games. He leads the team with 26 goals and 26 assists. ...
