About the Mavericks: Dallas opened its three-game road trip Monday with a 102-97 victory at Cleveland. The trip ends with Friday’s game in Brooklyn, then the Mavericks return home to host Detroit on Sunday. ... Monta Ellis led the way against the Cavs with 22 points and eight assists, and Dirk Nowitzki registered his second double-double of the season with 17 points and 10 rebounds. ... Center Samuel Dalembert is day-to-day after straining his left shoulder early in the third quarter against Cleveland. ...
