Flower Mound police have joined the search for a man committing identity theft in North Texas and other U.S. cities.

An estimated $50,000 has been lost so far to the thief, Flower Mound police said in a news release.

“Over the past several months, this unknown male has stolen the identities of numerous individuals and used them to open fraudulent accounts at retail shopping stores in the DFW, Houston, San Antonio, and Memphis, Tenn., areas,” the news release said.

The man has been described as a white or Hispanic male with a thin build and dark hair.

“He walks with a noticeable limp and uses motorized mobility assistance scooters on occasion,” the news release stated. “He often wears a pink tie with a blue long-sleeved dress shirt.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Flower Mound police at 972-874-3307.
