Daniel Gresham, a running back at Fort Worth All-Saints Episcopal, tweeted Sunday night that the new coaching staff at Louisville will not honor his commitment.

“I want to thank you Card Nation! Unfortunately, I was just informed by the UofL coaching staff that my committment will not be honored,” Gresham tweeted.

His tweet was reported by several media and recruiting outlets.

Gresham, listed at 5-foot-10 and 231 pounds, is a 3-star recruit, according to Rivals.com.

He committed to Charlie Strong, who was the coach at Louisville and has since accepted the job at Texas.

Commitments can be made official on Feb. 5.

Wickline to Texas

Joe Wickline, who just completed his ninth year as offensive line coach at Oklahoma State, is leaving to join Charlie Strong’s staff at Texas.

The news was reported Sunday night on several media and recruiting outlets.

“It was a scenario that I felt it was a good situation for me at the time,” Wickline told The Oklahoman on Sunday night.

Wickline, who was the last remaining member of Mike Gundy’s original staff, has a long history with Strong.

They worked together as graduate assistants at Florida in 1983 and on the same staffs at Mississippi in 1990 and again at Florida from 2003-04.

TCU tennis rolls

Nick Chappell remained undefeated at the UCF Hidden Dual, as he led the TCU men’s tennis team to 10 wins over Rice on Sunday in Orlando, Fla.

“This was a very good weekend for the team and an excellent performance by Nick Chappell,” coach David Roditi said. “Nick played No. 1 singles and doubles all weekend and it says a lot about his performance that he went undefeated.”

TCU swept all four doubles matches.

Grantham leaves

Todd Grantham is leaving Georgia to become Bobby Petrino’s defensive coordinator at Louisville.

Georgia coach Mark Richt confirmed that Grantham had accepted an offer from the Cardinals. Grantham was Georgia’s defensive coordinator for four years.
