NORTH RICHLAND HILLS — The Richland girls made their rallies Friday night, but the Rebels could never get the right shot to fall at the right time against Keller.Keller eventually finished off Richland for a 48-37 victory on the Reb-els’ home court. Alli Gribbin led all scorers with 16 points, including five in the fourth quarter, when the Indians fended off a Rebels rally.Richland trailed 27-22 at halftime and cut Keller’s lead to 32-31 heading into the fourth quarter. But a pair of free throws plus the front end of a one-and-one from Gribbin gave Keller (17-5, 6-1 District 4-5A) its most comfortable cushion since before halftime. Another bucket from the junior guard with 3:44 left in the game gave Keller a 10-point lead. Richland (12-9, 4-3) pulled within 42-37 with 1:33 left but couldn’t get any closer.Keller opened a 13-2 lead within the first four minutes of the game and knocked down five 3-pointers in the first quarter. After attacking the perimeter to start the game, Keller began to work the ball inside to Ryanne Johnson, who had consecutive buckets to open the second quarter, giving the Indians a double-digit lead. Maddi Holcomb, who ended the first quarter with a 3-pointer, hit another one to cut Keller’s lead to 25-17. Sydney Brock followed with a bucket in the post.Destiny Winkfield scored the first six points for Richland, keeping the Rebels in the game. Winkfield twice cut Keller’s lead to one point, with a runner in the lane then a 3-pointer near the end of the third quarter. She led Richland with 11 points.
