Offensive tackle Tayo Fabuluje said he is returning to TCU for his senior season.

The 6-foot-7, 315-pound Euless native who played at Arlington Oakridge left TCU last July and transferred to BYU because of “family issues” in the area, he said. He had no contact with the BYU football team during his time in Provo, Utah, while attending classes.

“TCU is my home and these are the people I should be around,” Fabuluje said via Facebook message. “If I could turn back the hands of time and change what I did I would, but since I can't I just use that as a learning experience for my future.”

Fabuluje said he is currently working with the TCU coaching staff to enroll at TCU again, and hopes to be back in school next week. At that point, he said he would again officially be a part of the TCU football team. Until then, he said he would participate in all team activities and meetings.

“[The TCU coaching staff was] happy and welcomed me back with open arms,” Fabuluje said. “The coaches here are like dads. They know we’re not perfect and we make mistakes but they love us anyway and I thank them for that.”

Fabuluje transferred to TCU in 2011 after a redshirt freshman season at BYU. He played in all 13 games for the Horned Frogs in 2012, starting 12 times and was a Big 12 Honorable Mention Offensive Newcomer of the Year.

“I feel bad about how I left my team hanging and I owe them big next season and I have every intention of doing just that — laying it all out for them,” he said. “It's the least I can do with all they’ve done for me.”
