Cross Timbers Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas will host Martha and Troy Mullens, who will present “Nature Photography” on Thursday at the Cherry Park Community Center, 313 Davis Street. A short business meeting will convene at 6:30 p.m. followed by a social at 6:45 p.m. with the presentation starting promptly at 7 p.m.

The program will cover what nature photography is and how to use all of your senses to capture nature in a photograph. They will discuss how to improve you nature photography and the difference between what you say and the photograph.

Martha, a biologist, and Troy, a scientist, are lifelong naturalists and environmentalists. They belong to the Native Plant Society, BRIT, Texas Master Naturalists, Audubon Society, National Wildlife Federation, Wilderness Society, Sierra Club, Texas Invaders and Xerces Society.

The Cross Timbers Chapter of the NPSOT meets second Thursday of the month (except July and December) at its new location, Cherry Park Community Center, 313 Davis Street (west side of Cherry Park) in Weatherford. The Chapter Business meeting is at 6:30 p.m. followed by a social at 6:45 p.m. with the presentation starting at 7 p.m. Its mission is to promote the conservation, research and utilization of native plants and plant habitats in Texas through education, outreach and example.
