FORT WORTH — A Brewer High School student was killed Tuesday morning when he was hit by a vehicle as he and two companions attempted to cross Northwest Loop 820 on foot, authorities said.William Brawley, 18, of Fort Worth was pronounced dead at 7:04 a.m. Tuesday at a Fort Worth hospital, the Tarrant County medical examiner’s website reported.His companions were not injured, Matt Zavadsky, a MedStar spokesman, said.The driver stopped and was treated at the scene, Zavadsky and police said.The death occurred shortly before 6:30 a.m. on Northwest Loop 820 at Las Vegas Trail on the southbound side. Police continued to investigate on Tuesday.Brawley was a senior at the high school in the White Settlement district, a school official said Tuesday.Tuesday was the last day of the Christmas holiday. Classes resume on Wednesday. Counselors will be available for students, a school district spokeswoman said.
