An 11-year-old girl who was kidnapped from her Eastland home and sexually assaulted was left to die near Lake Cisco on Sunday, authorities said.After her father reported her missing Sunday afternoon, Cisco police obtained information that led officers to a wooded area near Lake Cisco, where authorities later found the girl.She was transported to Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth, where she remained Monday. Her condition was not available. Cisco is about 105 miles west of Fort Worth.“It was apparent that the girl had been assaulted,” Texas Department of Public Safety Sgt. Bryan Witt said in a Monday news release.Detectives arrested Clayton Lee Fought, 21, of Cisco, on Sunday, and he faces charges of attempted capital murder, aggravated sexual assault and aggravated kidnapping. He was booked into the Eastland County Jail with bail set at $3 million, authorities said.Fought admitted to the offense and gave authorities specific details that would be known only by the perpetrator, according to an Eastland County criminal complaint obtained by Abilene area television stations.Fought is an acquaintance of the girl’s father, authorities said.The girl’s father reported her missing from their Eastland home along with his truck about 1 p.m. Sunday.A search was conducted by Eastland police, the Texas Rangers, Eastland County Sheriff’s Department and several other area law enforcement agencies.Once Cisco police got information, the girl was discovered near Lake Cisco about 3 p.m. Sunday, and the missing truck was nearby, Witt said Monday in a telephone interview.Eastland County deputies, Texas Rangers and DPS officials investigated and gathered evidence from the crime scene.
