Knicks at Mavericks

6:30 p.m. Sunday, American Airlines Center, Dallas

TV: FSSW

Radio: ESPN/103.3 FM, KFLC/1270 AM (Spanish)

Records: Knicks 10-22; Mavericks 19-14

About the Knicks: The Knicks have been besieged by hard times all season. They opened the season with a pitiful 3-13 record. … Injuries to Carmelo Anthony, Tyson Chandler, Amare Stoudemire and J.R. Smith haven’t helped matters. But all those players are back, and New York still has lost five of its last seven games. … New York got 27 points apiece from Iman Shumpert and Anthony and won 105-101 in San Antonio on Thursday, and Shumpert had 26 points and Anthony scored 25 during Friday’s 102-100 loss in Houston. … Anthony is third in the NBA in scoring with 26.2 ppg.

About the Mavs: Things looked promising for the Mavs after they came home following an impressive 3-0 road trip. Then they lost to the Clippers 119-112 on Friday at home when they were outscored 16-2 down the stretch. … The Mavs now have lost three straight home games and are playing tighter on their home court than they are on the road. And after losing those three straight home games to the Raptors, Spurs and Clippers, Dirk Nowitzki said: “The way we let those games slip away, I don’t think we’re a playoff team.” … The Mavs have been shooting well this season. They are fifth in shooting percentage (46.7) and seventh in 3-point percentage (37.6). — Dwain Price
