With the 16th (or 17th) pick in the 2014 NFL Draft ... . The Dallas Cowboys will select either 16th or 17th in the 2014 draft, pending a coin flip with the Ravens. Here are prospects that CBS Sportsline draft analyst Dane Brugler believes will be available for the Cowboys, along with his comments:

FS Ha Ha Clinton-Dix (Alabama): Not only does he have the best name, but Clinton-Dix is also the top safety prospect in this year’s class. He has the range and speed to cover the deep half of the field while also showing the aggressive demeanor to attack the run. He will be coveted by safety-needy teams.

DE Kony Ealy (Missouri): While overshadowed by teammate Michael Sam, Ealy has the better NFL skill-set with his frame, length and overall athleticism for an edge rusher. He’s still learning how to use his hands, and needs work, but the tools are considered first-round quality by several scouts.

DT Dominique Easley (Florida): A twitchy interior rusher, Easley missed most of his senior season due to a knee injury, so his pre-draft workouts will be imperative to his draft projection. He is almost always the first rusher off the snap and routinely wins gaps with his sudden quickness into the backfield.

DE Trent Murphy (Stanford): Although he mostly stood up and played linebacker in Stanford’s 3-4 scheme, he has the size (6-6, 260) that suggests he could consistently play with his hand in the dirt. Murphy is a smart, heady player with the coordination and strength to make plays vs. the pass and run.

DE Khalil Mack (Buffalo): While it’s doubtful he will fall out of the top 15, Mack should be on the Cowboys’ radar. A versatile and disruptive rusher, Mack doesn’t have elite speed off the edge, but he beats blockers with a combination of quickness and power to live behind the line of scrimmage. — Charean Williams
