ARLINGTON — Having already lost to Arlington Seguin in District 15-4A play, Mansfield Summit guard Corinthian Ramsey knew how important Friday’s matchup with Mansfield Lake Ridge would be.After falling behind by as much as 10 points, Ramsey hit two key 3-pointers to send the game into overtime as Summit completed a 58-55 come-from-behind victory over Lake Ridge.The win pulls Summit (11-7, 2-1) even with Lake Ridge for third place in the district race. “It was real big considering how we lost to Seguin,” Ramsey said. “We have a lot of faith in our team. We’ve beaten some big 5A schools, too, and we just stayed focused to get it done.”Ramsey, who led all scorers with 20 points, had a layup and made two free throws with 30 seconds left in overtime to seal it for Summit. The junior also hit the big 3-pointers when his team needed it most.Down 51-46, the Ramsey worked left off transition and hit his second 3-pointer of the fourth quarter to pull Summit within two. Summit’s defense held Lake Ridge (13-4, 2-1) to just a free throw in the final 5:13 and Terrance Hubby completed a three-point play to ultimately tie things up.
