About the Spurs: San Antonio is tied with Portland for the league’s best road record at 12-3. … This is the back end of a back-to-back for the Spurs, who lost to Houston 111-98 Wednesday. They are 6-2 so far on the second leg of a back-to-back … Newcomer Marco Belinelli has come off the bench to average 10.2 ppg and shoot 50.5 percent from 3-point range. … Earlier this season, the Spurs had an 11-game winning streak from Nov. 5-25. … Four of the Spurs’ losses are to Oklahoma City and Houston, with two losses to each.

About the Mavericks: The Mavs snapped a two-game losing streak Monday with a 111-104 victory at Houston behind 31 points from Dirk Nowitzki … Dallas is 11-3 at home but lost its last home game Friday when it blew a 19-point lead and dropped a 109-108 decision to Toronto in overtime … Center DeJuan Blair played his first four seasons with the Spurs but was benched last year when he fell out of favor with coach Gregg Popovich. Blair already has more offensive rebounds (69) in 27 games with the Mavs this season than he had last year (66) in 61 games for the Spurs.
