One man is dead and another jailed on suspicion of murder in connection with a fatal shooting Sunday night in southwest Fort Worth.

A crying female called 911 shortly after 10 p.m., reporting that someone had been shot in the 3800 block of Fox Run Drive, according to call details.

Officers found the victim, identified by the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office as Kevin Nguyen, 27, of Fort Worth, fatally shot in the street.

A suspect, Mohammed Khaled Awde, 26, was arrested without incident, police said. He was being held Monday night in the Mansfield Jail with bail set at $250,000. He faces one count of murder.

“The investigation revealed that an argument began between the suspect and the victim,” according to homicide Sgt. Cheryl Johnson. “The suspect shot the victim.”

Awde lives at the home outside of which the shooting occurred.
